Description
There are thousand reasons why something visual is striking to a given pair of eyes, or it is not. When we were on the short slide to the ending of the ten days in Rome. There was general exhaustion. I think this was true as even several of the students were napping on the ground under the shade of the orange trees. I trudged up the long Aventine Hill with the Hat to Saint Sabina, but we went first to a lovely park which opens into a Western vista over the Trastevere and Saint Peter’s Basilica. After a sojourn in the park, we hit the Latin trail on the way out. This striking fountain by Giacomo Della Porta rests outside the park near the gate.
