Our spiral notebooks are 6" x 8" in size and include 120 pages which are lined on both sides. The artwork is printed on the front cover which is made of thick paper stock, and the back cover is medium gray in color. The inside of the back cover includes a pocket for storing extra paper and pens.

In 2006 we were in Rome for two days and two nights. Our hotel was the Visconti Palace Hotel literally a block or so from the Fiume Tevere. Over the course of several days we had time to stroll over by the river. I was very impressed with the embankment walls and the neck breaking distance down to the very wide asphalt that snaked along the river. Returning in 2015 I reentered my curiosity concerning these impressive strutures. I wondered how the Romans had managed to sink the river or raise the banks to address the problem of many meters of blond water that graced their streets over the millennia. Not until the 1870s did the nascent Italian government get going on the issue. Although various ancients had made attempts, had thoughts, and did some digging; it was not until this much later date that the river disappeared except for the sycamore trees, lungoteveri, and pontes. My subjects are both natural and architectural. I am interested in textures and shapes and how light and shadow play on those objects often creating new ones. I use a Nikon D-800, and an iPhone 10s Max. I make every effort to compose in the camera and thus I crop infrequently. I use Lightroom, Photoshop & NIK to work with highlights & shadows which often brings out the elements in a photograph for which I have primary interest. I have no hesitation using any other tool if the results make the photograph work. My preference is to do nothing to a photograph presenting it as it was taken.
