Description
Roger Stow took me to two streams down this way. One was the Coldwater River and the other was Fish Creek. Wading in these two streams I learned to wade and to bow cast which eventually led to actually catching fish. I taught my boys to fish in these streams as well as my brother. The emphasis was always on Fish Creek as it had longer stretches and generally better results. It is off in the country. Except for occasional truck or gun shot in the fall this is as quiet as it gets. Time floats down the river away from your legs and body like oil on moving water. Concentration is on the cast, and setting the hook if you can; and then casting again. It is good if the fish are hitting. No matter, if anything is in the creel or not—it is being there that is the bounty.
