Flood Plain Canvas Print

In the right season of either rain or snow melt the south bank of the Red Cedar can necessitate waders unless one is a duck or a goose. The water can be deep and fast and reach across the low area that extends from one end of campus to the other. The ground quickly rises to the buildings which populate the high ground.

My subjects are both natural and architectural. I am interested in textures and shapes and how light and shadow play on those objects often creating new ones. I use a Nikon D-800, and an iPhone 10s Max. I make every effort to compose in the camera and thus I crop infrequently. I use Lightroom, Photoshop & NIK to work with highlights & shadows which often brings out the elements in a photograph for which I have primary interest. I have no hesitation using any other tool if the results make the photograph work. My preference is to do nothing to a photograph presenting it as it was taken.
