Artist's Description
The Baths of Neptune have this fabulous mosaic, which my son demonstrated to me can be seen from outer space. I had myself convinced that this mosaic was at a different location in Ostia Antica! He has much patience! Never-the-less it is a very large mosaic which served as the bottom of a very large pool. Climbing the stairs up to a platform over the pool allows one to see the whole mosaic from above, but maybe not remember all the details or location!!

My subjects are both natural and architectural. I am interested in textures and shapes and how light and shadow play on those objects often creating new ones. I use a Nikon D-800, and an iPhone 10s Max. I make every effort to compose in the camera and thus I crop infrequently. I use Lightroom, Photoshop & NIK to work with highlights & shadows which often brings out the elements in a photograph for which I have primary interest. I have no hesitation using any other tool if the results make the photograph work. My preference is to do nothing to a photograph presenting it as it was taken.
